Settings

This page is for tuning various global settings for your symBalancer.


Firewall
--------

If no :doc:`firewall <../networking/firewalls>` is assigned, there will be a button :guilabel:`Add Now` to assign one.
Otherwise, the firewall name will be displayed as a clickable link to manage it.


SSL Redirect
------------

If enabled, the balancer will redirect all HTTP requests to HTTPS.

   This only works for :doc:`ports <./ports>` using protocol **HTTP** (not **TCP**)


Sticky Sessions
---------------
  Use cookies to route subsequent client requests to the same backend server.

HTTP Idle Timeout
-----------------

Number of seconds allowed from first byte received, to the last byte sent to the client.
Typically the default of 60s is more than enough, but might need adjusting for sites 
which need more time, e.g. clients doing large uploads.
